This one day course proposed for Friday the 20th August 2021 will provide delegates with an introduction to the principles of bat surveying as outlined within best practice. 

The course includes a classroom or webcam based theory session covering preliminary bat roost assessment, emergence/ re-entry surveying, activity surveys and bat call (sonogram) analysis before meeting at a site local to Derby/Nottingham to complete and lead a preliminary bat roost assessment and a follow on emergence/re-entry or activity survey under the supervision of a Natural England level 2 licensed ecologist.

Upon completion delegates will be provided with a certificate of attendance which can be utilised to form a component of their personal CPD log.

A detailed list of required equipment will be provided upon purchase of a course place; RammSanderson will however provide bat detectors and survey forms as appropriate as well as relevant joining instructions approximately 2 weeks before the course date.
